Family retreat example schedule

Below is a timetable for a typical 4 day retreat.  Of course things change and with young children we must always be open to unexpected changes at the drop of a hat!  We try to always include a day trip out on our family retreats and this can include anything depending on what the local area has to offer such as a trip to a local beach, a walk to forage local berries, or a day out river swimming or exploring.  Of course all the things we offer are 100% optional and there is no obligation to be a part of every aspect of the retreat as we fully understand that a retreat is about down time and relaxation so please be open with us and know that we are here to help you in any way we can.

 

Monday

4pm – Arrival of guests and meeting each other. Please help yourself to bliss balls
and tea/coffee/milk in the yoga studio kitchen.
5.30 – opening circle and fun family yoga session in the yoga studio
7pm – Dinner and free time/ bedtime

Tuesday

8am – kids breakfast (outside or communal yurt depending on weather). This
is also the time for adults to have a pre-yoga snack.
8.30/8.45 – Adult yoga class in the yoga studio with Becky.
8.30/8.45 – Kids yoga session with Jen and activities with Jeanna and Hannah.
10.30 – Brunch for adults and snacktime for kids.
12pm – Optional guided walk leaving from the gate near the studio (suitable
for everybody).
2.30pm – Afternoon tea and free time.
5pm – Restorative yoga for adults in the studio with Becky and Wilf.
5pm – Kids with Jen, Jeanna and Hannah.
6.30pm – Dinner for all

Wednesday

8am – kids breakfast (outside or communal yurt depending on weather). This
is also the time for adults to have a pre-yoga snack.
8.30/8.45 – Adult yoga class in the yoga studio with Becky.
8.30/8.45 – Kids yoga session with Jen and activities
10.30 – Brunch for adults and snack time for kids followed by free time to explore.
2.30pm – Afternoon tea for everyone.
4pm – Optional arm balance and inversion workshop for adults with Wilf in the studio.
4pm – Creative table/games for kids and adults.
5.30pm – Family yoga and bounce meditation for everybody in the studio.
6.30 – Dinner.

 

Thursday

8am – kids breakfast (outside or communal yurt depending on weather). This
is also the time for adults to have a pre-yoga snack.
8.30/8.45 – Adult yoga class in the yoga studio with Wilf.
8.30/8.45 – Kids yoga session and activities.
10.30 – Brunch for adults and snack time for kids.
10-4pm – Alan the bushcraft master will be on site teaching and making things from
wood and things from nature. This is a great time for all members of the family
to get involved and get creative. Please supervise if you have under 7’s.
2.30pm – Afternoon tea for everyone.
6pm – Pizza making madness for Kids and ‘Grown ups’.
7pm – Campfire (weather dependant).

Please note that on Thursday, the massages will be taking place in the studio.

Friday

8am – Famiy yoga and leaving circle
9am – Breakfast for everybody
10.30 – Home time.

Timings and activities can change due to weather or other circumstances so
please bare with us and try to go with the flow.
