This is a lovely immune-boosting, warming, ayurvedic inspired breakfast recipe, perfect for cold mornings or when you’re feeling under the weather.
1.5 cups of oats
1 cup of almond milk (or any dairy-free milk)
1 cup of water
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
A pinch of cardamon
A pinch of nutmeg
Black pepper & salt to taste.
optional toppings – desiccated coconut, chia seeds, soaked nuts/seeds, sweetener of your choice.
- Place the oats, almond milk & water in a saucepan & slowly start to heat through.
- Add your spices and add extra water or milk to your preferred consistency.
- check the taste & add more of the spices if you wish.
- pour into your bowl & add your toppings.
- Sit down and enjoy.
